It gives us immense pleasure to present the inaugural issue (Volume 1, Issue 1) of the Journal of Wound Medicine. The journal has been established with the vision of creating a dedicated academic platform for advancing research, clinical practice, and innovation in wound care and tissue healing.

Wound management remains a significant global healthcare challenge, encompassing acute injuries, chronic ulcers, diabetic wounds, surgical site infections, burns, and regenerative therapies. Despite continuous advancements in medical science, there is an ongoing need for high-quality evidence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and dissemination of clinically relevant research.

The Journal of Wound Medicine is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal committed to publishing original research articles, review articles, clinical studies, case reports, and scholarly communications that contribute to improving wound care outcomes.

All submissions undergo a structured peer-review process to ensure scientific rigor, originality, and relevance. The journal follows strict publication ethics and adheres to internationally accepted standards regarding authorship criteria, conflict of interest disclosure, plagiarism screening, data integrity, and research transparency. Any form of scientific misconduct, including fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism, will not be tolerated.

The journal operates under a No Article Processing Charge (No APC) policy at the time of its launch. Authors are not required to pay any submission, processing, or publication fees. This reflects our commitment to promoting equitable and accessible dissemination of scientific knowledge.

This inaugural issue marks the beginning of our academic journey. We sincerely thank the authors, reviewers, and supporters who have placed their confidence in this initiative. We warmly invite researchers and clinicians worldwide to submit their valuable contributions and join us in strengthening the scientific foundation of wound medicine.
